Clip: ''Bad Day''\u003cbr/\u003eWhen musician Daniel Powter recorded his self-titled debut album for just six-thousand dollars, he never dreamed it would become an international success.\u003cbr/\u003eThanks in part to his single, ''Bad Day,'' Powter has not only become a household name in Europe, but is now becoming known in the United States.  In fact, ''Bad Day'' currently holds the top spot on the American Billboard Hot 100 chart.\u003cbr/\u003eFrance was the first country to release ''Bad Day.'' The single shot to the top of the charts and Powter received a gold record.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I never had any aspirations to be a big pop guy,\" Powter says. \"I just wanted to write music. In that sense it has been a surprise, but on the other hand it has crossed a lot of boarders because I think the music that I do can be sort of repeated. People can sing it.
