MEPs passed the resolution with 54 in favour and 3 abstentions.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe document called on the Japanese government to formally acknowledge, apologise for, and accept historical and legal responsibility, in a clear and unequivocal manner.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I urge the Japanese government and parliament to accept the resolutions by various countries such as the United States and European Union to solve the problem of Japanese military sexual slavery,\" said a representative of the women, Yun Son-nyeo. \u003cbr/\u003eThe resolution called on the Japanese government to implement effective administrative mechanisms to provide reparations to all surviving victims of the \"comfort women\" system and the families of its deceased
