Guggenheim Museum and the Google Inc.-owned video Web site are presenting \"YouTube Play,\" an exhibit of 25 videos selected by a jury including the filmmaker Darren Aronofsky and the music group Animal Collective.\u003cbr/\u003eThe videos, which are gathered online at YouTube.com/play display a curious collision of media. \u003cbr/\u003eThe exhibit is an attempt to curate an essentially unmanageable library of content: Some two billion videos are watched daily on YouTube.\u003cbr/\u003eThough the exhibit can only be dwarfed by that endless, roaring stream, it still manages to convey the exciting artistic possibilities of online video _ so often considered the domain of bedroom bloggers and kittens.\u003cbr/\u003e\"One of the most important things about YouTube the platform is access and is something we believe in extremely strongly. The image looked like a staff in music, and he decided to find out what music the birds were making. \u003cbr/\u003e\"And I went to the piano and played that melody using exactly the places of the birds as notes. So, I thought it was a very sweet melody and decided to make an arrangement for orchestra and then I did the video,\" he says. \u003cbr/\u003eThe video \"Bathtub IV,\" by Australian Keith Loutit, uses tilt-shift photography to film a helicopter rescue service in Wales. In the funny focus of tilt-shift, an ocean rescue doesn't look real _ and most of the comments the video has elicited on YouTube remark on its fake appearance.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I think of YouTube as being the great equaliser for within the art world, I think a kid that crashes his skateboard but can get as much attention as the most established of artists.
