Whether it's around negotiating peace tables, whether it's at the trade tables or  at union tables or whether it's the table in our own kitchens. We have to be where  decisions are made and this is what Beijing is all about.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Bella Abzug - Feminist\u003cbr/\u003eBut the fact that Beijing is the chosen location of the conference is drawing criticism  from many groups.\u003cbr/\u003eChina has been cited for numerous human rights abuses and for its harsh treatment of  women. \u003cbr/\u003eThe capture of American activist Harry Wu further damaged US-Sino relations.\u003cbr/\u003eSenate Majority Leader Bob Dole is one of many who has called for the First Lady to  boycott of the conference.\u003cbr/\u003eClinton herself discussed the pros and cons of her visiting Beijing with top  administration officials last week. \u003cbr/\u003eThe government is expected to make a final decision later this week.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever, feminists heading for Beijing say they don't understand why their conference  has become such a political storm. \u003cbr/\u003e\"If the US government wishes to chastise, criticise or punish in some way the Chinese  government they have many economic ways of doing so. But they have just given most  Favoured Nation Status to China. Why is it that the women's conference in general and  Hillary Clinton in particular are the focus of this? It makes no sense.
