And then we want to help New Orleans be rebuilt and we want to see Biloxi rise again. And, you know, I was with the mayor of Waverland the other day, from Mississippi. His town was completely destroyed. What I'm interested in is helping that man and that community get back on their feet. That's where my focus is. Cutaway as journalist asks question\u003cbr/\u003eStung by criticism over the federal response to Hurricane Katrina, US President Bush said on Tuesday that he would oversee an investigation into what went wrong and why, to ensure the country could withstand another storm or a WMD attack. \u003cbr/\u003eBush said he would send Vice President Dick Cheney to the Gulf Coast region on Thursday to determine whether the government was doing all it could to help families or whether efforts were being hampered by bureaucracy. \u003cbr/\u003eThere has been heavy criticism of the government's response to the hurricane, and city and state officials, Republicans and Democrats have assailed the sluggish response from the Federal Emergency Management Agency led by Michael Brown. \u003cbr/\u003eBush did not respond directly when asked if anyone on his disaster response team should be replaced.\u003cbr/\u003e\"What I intend to do is to lead an investigation to find out what went right and what went wrong,\" the president said after a meeting at the White House with his Cabinet on storm recovery efforts. \"We still live in an unsettled world and we want to make sure we can respond properly if there is a WMD.\" \u003cbr/\u003eBush said now is not the time to point fingers and he did not respond to calls for a commission to investigate the response.\u003cbr/\u003e\"One of the things people want us to do here is play the blame game,\" he said. \"We got to solve problems.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe president was devoting most of his day to the recovery effort.
