being deployed to otherwise inaccessible locations to assess damage and help with rescue efforts. \u003cbr/\u003eOn 19 January 2002, a convoy of Russian aid trucks marked the official reopening of the tunnel five years after the entrance was blown up by guerillas to stop the advancing Taliban. \u003cbr/\u003eBuilt in the 1960s by Russian engineers at the request of then-King Mohammad Zahir Shah,
