After their meeting, Gul and Powell spoke to reporters.\u003cbr/\u003eOn Liberia, Powell indicated that the US was working with members of ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States), the key regional organisation of national leaders.\u003cbr/\u003eHe went on to say that US President George Bush had not yet decided whether to send US troops into Liberia.\u003cbr/\u003eOn Turkish-US relations, both Powell and Gul said that the two countries were long-term allies and would continue to work together despite recent disagreements over the invasion of
