(June 22) \u003cbr/\u003eThe top U-S commander in Afghanistan has been summoned to the White House to explain his derogatory comments about his colleagues....comments President Barack Obama says showed poor judgement. \u003cbr/\u003eStill Obama says he hasn't decided whether or not to fire Gen. Stanley McChrystal. \u003cbr/\u003eBarack Obama\u003cbr/\u003e\"I also want to make sure that i talk to him directly before I make a final decision.\"\u003cbr/\u003eObama will have that opportunity Wednesday. \u003cbr/\u003eHe ordered McChrystal to attend a monthly meeting on Afghanistan and Pakistan in person after learning about remarks McChrystal made in Rolling Stone. \u003cbr/\u003eAccording to the magazine, McChrystal and his staff took swipes at several administration officials, including the president, who the general said looked \"uncomfortable and intimidated\" in the presence of military officers. \u003cbr/\u003eMcChrystal has already called several officials to apologize. \u003cbr/\u003eBut apologies may not be enough to save his job. \u003cbr/\u003eRobert Gibbs/White House spokesman\u003cbr/\u003e\"I would say all options are on the table.\"\u003cbr/\u003eWhite House spokesman Robert Gibbs says Obama was angry when he learned about the article Monday night, and other administration officials say they're disappointed by McChrystal's comments.  \u003cbr/\u003eBut Afghan President Hamid Karzai wants Obama to stick with McChrystal. \u003cbr/\u003eWhile the general enjoys a good relationship with Karzai, his implementation of Obama's war strategy has run into roadblocks, with violence in Afghanistan escalating and U-S casualties on the rise. \u003cbr/\u003eMichael O'Hanlon/Brookings Institution\u003cbr/\u003e\"It will be an interesting test of the White House.
