But according to clear cut cases and precedents of the Supreme Court of Israel going back as far as 11 years ago, and the most recent case was just a few months ago, the Israeli Supreme Court ruled that if a senior official, either elected or appointed, is charged, is indicted of corruption offences, then he can no longer, it is unreasonable that he will carry on his work and he has to step down. Thus the Israeli Supreme Court has in previous cases forced the resignation of government ministers, director-generals of ministries in the Israeli government. I have no doubt personally that if Mr Sharon is indicted for bribery, he would have to step down, not just to suspend himself but he would have to to step down, because of those precedents, and if he will refuse to do so, someone will probably go to the High Court of Justice and force his resignation.\"\u003cbr/\u003e9.
