As a UNICEF goodwill  ambassador, his performance was in aid of bringing awareness of, and supporting HIV/AIDS prevention programmes in China. \u003cbr/\u003eHundreds of fans from Hong Kong and Mainland China came to see Lang Lang perform. He played a Rachmaninoff ''Prelude'', and then a tune from the Tom and Jerry cartoon. At the eager request of the audience, Lang Lang  played ''The Flight of the Bumble Bee'' by Rimsky-Korsakov, and a Chinese folk song  (Ping Hu Qiu Yue, in Mandarin) .\u003cbr/\u003eJoyce Cheung, an eleven-year-old pianist, played a Chopin Polonaise together with Lang Lang. She has played the piano for seven years and also plays the cello.\u003cbr/\u003eIn the past Lang Lang has collaborated with Asian artists such as Hacken Lee (Hong Kong), Alan Tam (Hong Kong), Han Hong (China) and Leehom Wang  (taiwan), and this August, Lang Lang will do a movie soundtrack for a German and Australian co/production film.\u003cbr/\u003eBorn in Beijing in 1982, Lang Lang began studying the piano at the age of three. At the age of five, he gave his first public performance after winning the Shenyang Piano Competition.
