But in my ten years I don''t think we have seen anything of the scale that we are confronting here. The scale of not only how many people have died, but people affected, and the scale in terms of the number of countries affected. So for all of us in humanitarian work, we have experience, we have capacity, I think generally we do a good job, we try and do a decent job. But to have to mobilise not just for one, I mean this is, it''s one emergency but basically we are mobilising for eight to nine different emergencies so the ability to respond to something like this is beyond anything I can recall in my ten years at UNICEF.\"\u003cbr/\u003e9. coast, according to an EU official.\u003cbr/\u003ePresident Chandrika Kumaratunga made the request when an EU team met with her to discuss coordinating relief work,\u003cbr/\u003esaid Louis Michel, the European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid.\u003cbr/\u003eMichel told reporters at a press conference the details of his discussion with the President and her plans on how to rebuild the country.\u003cbr/\u003eHe told how she wanted to mobilise the private sector and the foreign governments so that they can share particular aspects of the reconstruction press conference that at least 40 million (m) US dollars would be given by her organisation to help Sri Lankan children affected by the tsunami disaster to help regain their future.\u003cbr/\u003eMs
