Tyrone Brooks, (D) Georgia, said Dorothy Dorsey Malcolm's unborn child is believed to have survived the lynching and may have information that could help authorities solve the crime.\u003cbr/\u003eBrooks, who says some of the men responsible are still alive -- and, living in the area -- has called for Congressional hearings into the lynching.\u003cbr/\u003eOn July 25, 1946, George and Mae Murray Dorsey and Roger and Dorothy Dorsey Malcom, who was seven months pregnant, were ambushed, tied to trees, then shot and killed by a mob of white men near the Moore's Ford Bridge in Walton County, Georgia.\u003cbr/\u003eThe investigation turned up some evidence, but no arrests.\u003cbr/\u003eIt's still considered an open case.\u003cbr/\u003eIn July, civil rights activists and members of the community commemorated the lynching with a reenactment to draw attention to the case.\u003cbr/\u003eWalton County, Georgia - August 6, 2014\u003cbr/\u003e1.
