So we will bring that step by step into our serious cars and to bring it also in the high volume cars.\"\u003cbr/\u003eAnd despite the fuel economy, Volkswagen claims the XL1 can accelerate from 0-60mph in under 12 seconds, with a top speed around 100mph (160kmh).\u003cbr/\u003eHowever, don't expect to get the kids and the family dog in the back - this sleek concept is a twin-seater.\u003cbr/\u003eAlso at the show was the world's first hybrid supercar. \u003cbr/\u003eFresh from its debut in Detroit earlier in the month, the Porsche 918RSR breaks new boundaries in high performance green motoring. \u003cbr/\u003eIt accelerates from 0 to 100kmh (62mph) in three seconds and to 200kmh (124mph) in just nine seconds. \u003cbr/\u003eThe V8 engine is a further development of the direct injection engine from the successful RS Spyder race car and now offers an output of over 550bhp.\u003cbr/\u003eThe electric motors on the two front wheels each contribute 75 kW, so that's a total of 150 kW, to the peak drive power of around 760bhp. So I mean it's really beyond a car; it's whole systems that you need to change.\"\u003cbr/\u003eWhile Hybrid and eco-friendly cars seem to have stolen the headlines, there were a wide range of regular internal combustion engine models on display from classic Cameros to the Bertone Pandion concept car based on an Alfa Romeo engine and chassis. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Pandion makes its Qatar debut after launching at the Geneva Motor Show last year.\u003cbr/\u003eThe supercar is a one-off vehicle with a 444bhp, 4.7 litre V8 Alfa Romeo engine under its low and sleek bonnet.\u003cbr/\u003eThe car's most distinctive feature is its rear-opening scissor doors which stand at a height of 3.6 metres (12 feet) when fully opened.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Pandion retails at around USD $2 million (EUR 1.5 million). \u003cbr/\u003eDaniele Conril, communications director, Bertone says: \"This car is the first car by Mike Robinson as design director of Bertone. It is a car conceived in 2010 as a tribute to the first century of Alfa Romeo.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThen of course there are the muscle cars.\u003cbr/\u003eMercedes launches a limited edition of its 4x4 G55 AMG aimed exclusively at its Arab customers, with only 100 being built. \u003cbr/\u003eThe car is finished with a two-tone black and porcelain leather interior, carbon fibre parts, 19-inch (48cm) alloys and a white lacquered wood trim.\u003cbr/\u003eOne of the more unusual cars at the show is Italian custom car builder Caroozzeria Castagna's Fiat 500.\u003cbr/\u003eIts designer Jessica Croiset, explains some of the concepts behind this fun car.\u003cbr/\u003eShe says: \"Ok and here on the back we can stow a lot of things from towels for the beach, a fridge for the picnic for food or any other kinds of things or drinks.
