During the 80's and 90's he was a sought-after model appearing in campaigns for Versace and Karl Lagerfeld. \u003cbr/\u003eHe lived a life that many dream of, travelling the globe, working with prestigious designers and partying with celebrities.\u003cbr/\u003eHe even played the Adonis in Madonna's \"Express Yourself\" video, but he left that world behind to seek a higher path. \u003cbr/\u003eIn 2003, Cameron began studies in Ayurveda at Arsha Yoga in India.\u003cbr/\u003eHe says it's all about why we do things - how we eat, sleep and treat others. \u003cbr/\u003e\"Ayurveda is all about the body as yoga is about the mind, so in yoga we control the mind, in Ayurveda we control the body and our habits. How do we get rid of it, cause and effect so we always go to cause to dig it up and we have to turn the tap off.\"\u003cbr/\u003eHe says when you look at the body you have to see which of the five elements are out of balance.\u003cbr/\u003eAccording to Ayurveda there are three energies in the body: earth energy called kapha, air energy called vata and fire energy called pitta. \u003cbr/\u003eSometimes Yogi Cameron temporarily moves in with his celebrity clients to help them.\u003cbr/\u003eHe did just that last year for talk show host Ellen DeGeneres who learned yoga, meditation and new diet habits.\u003cbr/\u003eHe was her live-in wellness consultant for five months through her tough days as a judge on the U.S. TV show American Idol.\u003cbr/\u003eIt was a show that DeGeneres wanted to leave and ultimately did.\u003cbr/\u003eCameron says no matter who his client is, they are equal.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Primarily, I look upon them as human beings, whatever your job is. It not only helps me physically, but mentally and that to me is kickboxing for an hour and a half. I have to have that at least five times a week and I run, so the other two days....sometimes work out seven days a week. It just mentally clears my mind.\" \u003cbr/\u003eIn Cameron's book, The Guru in You, the approach to eating recommends no canned or frozen foods at all.\u003cbr/\u003eCameron recommends a simple breakfast of hot water and three spoons of full fat plain yogurt, then three hours later, just two pieces of dried mango. The food, he says, needs to be eaten very slowly. \u003cbr/\u003eCameron does not like oil, microwaves or overdosing on cold beverages. \u003cbr/\u003eHe recommends clarified butter known as 'ghee', legumes and barley.
