Various of cowboys \u003cbr/\u003eIn a country bombed by the United States only a few years ago and where anti-American sentiments still run high, a group of Serbian cowboys are keeping the Wild West alive. \u003cbr/\u003eBut replica Winchesters, Stetson hats and leather chaps don't come cheap - the group says it is struggling financially without state support.\u003cbr/\u003eThis isn't the Wild West, this isn't America.\u003cbr/\u003eThis group of cowboy enthusiasts are from Serbia.\u003cbr/\u003eFor them dressing up as cowboys and wielding replica guns represents the ultimate freedom.\u003cbr/\u003eChecking his rifle and staring down the barrel is Milorad Sudar - or Old Shatterhand as he's known by his friends.\u003cbr/\u003eSudar is among a group admirers of America's 19th century Wild West who set up a Union of Western Shooters of Serbia.\u003cbr/\u003eThese men, mostly in their late 50s' or 60s', wear cowboy hats and boots, shoot colts or Winchester rifles and brandish names such as Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday.\u003cbr/\u003eSudar says: \"We are a generation who grew up on Western movies. At that time we used to watch historic cowboy movies, Tarzan movies and cartoons, but mostly cowboy movies.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe group is particularly interested in the positive role models of Wild West films.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Adventurous and positive characters attracted us. In one word, the world justice attracted us. The names we chose are all positive characters. There is only one member who chose the name of a bad guy,\" explains Sudar.\u003cbr/\u003eSerbia's cowboys have faced a number of difficulties  - from financial to political - since first deciding to turn their dreams into reality several years ago.\u003cbr/\u003eTheir weapons - either originals or replicas of those used in 19th century America - can only be found abroad and are far too expensive for Serbia, where average salaries are around Euros 300 (USD $420).\u003cbr/\u003eSlobodan Ilic, or Hombre Des Nudos, who heads the union, says: \"We finance this all by ourselves. Sometimes we find some sponsors or some friend who has their own company, they help sometimes.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSince registering in 2007, the Serb shooters have taken part in three international competitions - in Italy, Slovakia and the Czech Republic - but lacked funds to participate the last two years.\u003cbr/\u003eAlthough they are the only ones in the former Yugoslavia, Serbia's Western shooters have had no support from the state or wealthy sponsors. They say many here view their sport as part of \"American propaganda.\"\u003cbr/\u003eYet, the cowboys say, it offers an escape from the grim reality of post war Serbia.\u003cbr/\u003eSome of the
