There is now political willingness as well to roll out treatment to people,\" said Unni Karuna, President of MSF International. \u003cbr/\u003eThe current drugs used to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis are old, toxic and have to be taken for two years, including eight months of painful injections and up to 20 pills per day. \u003cbr/\u003eTwice a month, Min Naing Oo visits patients at a clinic in Yangon, urging them through a face-mask to keep taking their medicine,  no matter how sick it makes them.\u003cbr/\u003eHe has been battling the disease for 12 years.\u003cbr/\u003e''I have no job,and  my health is not good. My wife has to look after two children. So I get regular support from MSF Centre. I get things like rice and oil. They also support my family a little, '' he said.\u003cbr/\u003eCurrently, patients in Myanmar get treatment free of charge. \u003cbr/\u003eBut with the numbers increasing, the government needs more than $41 million for its ambitious five-year $53 million expansion plan. \u003cbr/\u003eMost of the money contributed so far has come from international donors, who say the government needs to increase its share.\u003cbr/\u003e1.
