She survived a horrible bus crash and polio as a child, was openly bisexual and had an affair with Russian revolutionary Leon Trotsky.\u003cbr/\u003eKahlo, born in July 6, 1907, dealt with her crippling bus accident, her inability to have children, and her marriage to Rivera through her self-portraits.\u003cbr/\u003eKahlo's niece, Cristina Kahlo, who is one of the curators of the exhibition, said that \"the intention of the exhibition is to show a intimate look of Frida.
