We filed our brief today that makes our case. The important thing for me is to spend as little time thinking about that as possible and as much time working on the issues we're here to discuss as possible. They have their job to do in the Senate, and I have mine, and I intend to do it. \"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Bill Clinton, U.S. President\u003cbr/\u003ePresident Clinton's legal team turned over its trial brief to the Senate Wednesday morning.\u003cbr/\u003eIt was hand-carried into the Capitol.\u003cbr/\u003eThe 130-page brief offered a preview of the case that Clinton's attorneys will present.\u003cbr/\u003eIt doesn't offer any  new evidence.\u003cbr/\u003eInstead, White House officials described it as the most comprehensive and detailed presentation to date about Clinton's case.\u003cbr/\u003eClinton's lawyers told senators in the brief that they had (quote) - \" an obligation to turn away an unwise and unwarranted House impeachment\".\u003cbr/\u003eThey also argued that there is no legal and constitutional or factual grounds for removal.\u003cbr/\u003eWhen asked if he personally believed that perjury and obstruction of justice were grounds for removal from office, Clinton said his opinion didn't matter...\u003cbr/\u003eBut that of constitutional experts did.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE (English): \u003cbr/\u003e\"I believe that it's not necessary for me to comment further than our brief. The important thing that I think you should be asking yourself is, why did nearly 900 constitutional experts say that they strongly felt that this matter was not the subject of an impeachment? My opinion is not important here.
