The private civil action was brought by...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eEnglish/Nat\u003cbr/\u003eFormer U-S football star and actor O-J Simpson was back in a Los Angeles court room Tuesday  - this time he's accused of unlawfully causing the deaths of his wife and her male friend.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe private civil action was brought by the families of the deceased.\u003cbr/\u003eThe media frenzy caused by O-J's original, criminal trial has been stemmed by the judge in the civil action case.  He's banned the cameras from the hearing and forbidden those taking part in the proceedings from talking about the case outside the courtroom.\u003cbr/\u003eThe judge has forced lawyers to stick to the important issues of the wrongful death lawsuit against Simpson, barring extraneous arguments and excess evidence.\u003cbr/\u003eOnce again the media gathers in Southern California to report on the trial of O-J Simpson -- former football great, former American hero.\u003cbr/\u003eSimpson faces a civil trial, starting tomorrow, in a wrongful death suit. \u003cbr/\u003eThe plaintiffs are the family of Ronald Goldman and the estate of Nicole Brown Simpson.\u003cbr/\u003eThis trial isn't producing the media frenzy of Simpson's murder case. \u003cbr/\u003eOnly about 50 reporters lined up to get inside the courtroom -- compared to hundreds at the first trial.\u003cbr/\u003eThe parents of Nicole were the first to arrive at the Orange county court house. \u003cbr/\u003eO-J arrived -- a passenger in his Bronco -- reading the morning paper.\u003cbr/\u003eDenise Brown -- Nicole's sister was tight-lipped arriving with her lawyer.\u003cbr/\u003eSuperior Court Judge Hiroshi Fujisaki has made it clear his court room will not fall victim to the frenzy of the last O-J trial.\u003cbr/\u003eRuling quickly on a number of motions Tuesday morning -- he limiting evidence about a police frame-up, evidence contamination and racism by former Detective Mark Fuhrman.\u003cbr/\u003eBut he did allowed Simpson room to present these theories under certain circumstances, and granted Simpson a major victory in allowing the video testimony of star scientific witness Dr. Henry Lee.\u003cbr/\u003eJudge Fujisaki has placed a gagging order on the trial and banned television cameras, tape recorders and still cameras from the court room.\u003cbr/\u003eSanta Monica, California, 17th September 1996\u003cbr/\u003e1.
