Wide of concert  \u003cbr/\u003eA 13-year-old piano prodigy from Los Angeles brought an Iraqi audience to its feet on Saturday when he made a rare guest appearance with the Iraqi National Symphony Orchestra in Baghdad, a city struggling to revive its once-vibrant cultural scene.  \u003cbr/\u003eLlewellyn Kingman Sanchez Werner, who studies piano and composition at New York's renowned Juilliard School, got a standing ovation from an enthusiastic crowd of about 250 after performing Gershwin's \"Rhapsody in Blue\".\u003cbr/\u003eThe teenager has performed around the world - even in Rwanda where he played a private concert for the president's family.\u003cbr/\u003eHis parents say he was fascinated with music from a very young age and began learning piano at two. \u003cbr/\u003eLlewellyn composed his first piece at five and began college studies at the same age, they added.\u003cbr/\u003eBy the age of six, the young virtuoso was a full-time college student, taking advanced music theory courses.\u003cbr/\u003eHe has a college degree in music and is about to complete another, whilst finishing up his third year at Juilliard.\u003cbr/\u003eThe teenager arrived in the Iraqi capital on Friday with his mother and father, Llewellyn Werner, whose California-based private investment firm has been working in Baghdad alongside the US Department of Defence for three years. \u003cbr/\u003eIt was whilst working in Iraq that Werner Senior met Karim Wasfi, the chief conductor and director of the Iraqi orchestra, and the idea was born for his son to come over from the US to perform.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe national orchestra collapsed after the 2003 US-led invasion when many musicians fled to neighbouring countries. \u003cbr/\u003eWasfi reconstructed it in 2005 with 50 musicians and it has now grown to 90.\u003cbr/\u003eThe orchestra performs twice monthly in Baghdad and does concerts around Iraq, but it had never had an American guest performer.\u003cbr/\u003eMost of the audience at the concert, held in Baghdad's Rasheed Hotel, was Iraqi, though a few American soldiers were in the crowd.  \u003cbr/\u003eCultural life in Iraq largely died down during the violence and reviving it was not the government's priority. \u003cbr/\u003eBut that is slowly changing.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe government has allocated funds for the orchestra's operational budget and
