anti-war rally in front of the US State Department before departing on Saturday.\u003cbr/\u003eThe rally started small with only about 30 or 40 people coming out in the cold, grey weather to hear the religious figures speak, but grew to roughly twice that number as more anti-war demonstrators showed up and hoisted signs.\u003cbr/\u003eAs the US government continues efforts to build a coalition of allies around the world who are ready and willing to lend aid in a potential war to remove Saddam Hussein's regime from power, the group of eight plans to tour Baghdad and try to convince leaders there to cooperate with UN resolutions in order to \"remove any pretext for launching of a war.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe group of prominent religious leaders from New York, Washington, New Jersey and North Carolina is scheduled to be in Baghdad for about four days meeting with the Middle East Council of Churches and touring local clinics, hospitals and religious sites.\u003cbr/\u003eNot everyone holding a sign and voicing their opinion in Washington Saturday was against a U.S. led war in Iraq. \u003cbr/\u003eEarlier Saturday a group of not more than 50 gathered at the base of the Washington Monument in support of the US administration's position that Iraq must be disarmed by whatever means necessary.\u003cbr/\u003eSpeakers at the rally made historical references to the United States' fighting wars to preserve freedom and the American way of life.\u003cbr/\u003eMost at the rally held or wore American flags and some carried signs with slogans such as promises to Iraq that, \"Help is on the
