This is no ordinary foot cream,...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eFeet are the next big beauty trend emerging in the United States in 2014. \u003cbr/\u003eNo expense is being spared by some beauty parlours in Beverly Hills, with well heeled clients being pampered with 24 carat gold. \u003cbr/\u003eThis is no ordinary foot cream, beauticians says it's worth its weight in gold. \u003cbr/\u003eSmothering the 24 carat gold gel on to your feet has become the ultimate luxury experience.  \u003cbr/\u003eTiny particles of soft gold are suspended in the mixture and it's claimed to have anti-ageing qualities like no other. \u003cbr/\u003eGold has been used in face creams before but now it's being used to turn back time on tired toes. \u003cbr/\u003eWomen are seeking the treatment, known as a foot facial, at the newly opened Beverly Hills Beauty Lounge.\u003cbr/\u003eThe 24K Gold Red Carpet Ultra Foot Facial pedicure isn't cheap - a one hour session costs $250 USD. \u003cbr/\u003eThe salon says despite the price tag, women and their feet are lining up to be pampered.  \u003cbr/\u003eClients say their high heeled feet deserve just as much attention as their faces.\u003cbr/\u003eThe treatment includes 24K Gold anti-aging serum, used to firm, tone and hydrate the skin. \u003cbr/\u003eGold has been thought to have healing and regenerating properties for centuries.\u003cbr/\u003eThe VIP service is about total relaxation from head to toe - a place for socialites to put their feet up and unwind.\u003cbr/\u003eVida Emanuel is a veteran esthetician - or skin care therapist - who believes feet are being forgotten. \u003cbr/\u003eShe created an intensive pedicure that uses all the exact same tools and techniques she uses uses on a person's face.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It's a 24K Gold serum that we apply before their nail polish is done. It's something new, something that no one has offered before. It's a foot facial. I have been doing facials for many years but for the face only. This time I'm doing it for the feet,\" says Emanuel. \u003cbr/\u003eThe pedicure begins with the feet soaked and scrubbed clean \u003cbr/\u003eNails are then filed before undergoing microdermabrasion. This is another technique normally done on the face and involves a diamond tip scraping away small particles of dead skin. \u003cbr/\u003eThen it's time to strike gold and apply the luxury serum. \u003cbr/\u003eWith toenails also treated, clients are again ready to walk out with confidence. \u003cbr/\u003eCalifornia businesswoman, Pavlina Ivan, says she loves the gold indulgence:\u003cbr/\u003e\"I think it's so original just to have a facial on your feet. I mean who would have thought of that unless you are in Beverly Hills of course! I absolutely love that this whole treatment feels so luxurious and being pampered. There was a huge boom in nail polish sales, $768 million dollars in sales in the U.S. alone. Since then there has been growth in terms of nail art, polarity, nail salons popping up everywhere. You see it in consumer magazines. You're seeing it in newspapers. You can't going anywhere without seeing nails are everywhere.\"\u003cbr/\u003eLavery says celebrities got the ball rolling and clothing designers wanted to up the ante.\u003cbr/\u003e\"I think the nail trend really started with celebrities and it started creeping into runway shows. Designers started working closely with nail artists to come in and add another element to the hair and makeup that really showed off their wares. Again celebrities started wearing and the consumers started to take notice. They were sort of done with just the red or pink. Black nail polish started seeping in and you started seeing these really dark colours and for a while that was big and then that wasn't enough. No you have glitter and crackle and any kind of embellishment. It's huge on nails. Now you're seeing stripes and gems and charms and 24 carat manicures, skye the limit\" says Lavery.\u003cbr/\u003eVictoria Pavia, owner of Two Brown Eyed Girls, Nail Art Studio says nail art has gone to a whole new level this year and colours are bolder than ever.\u003cbr/\u003e\"The trends of the summer are pastels and fluorescents. We are seeing a lot of bright oranges, bright pinks, greens, yellows. There are also colour changer polishes, which are one colour inside and one colour outside. Those are the biggest trends for summer. We still do a lot of Swarovski crystal work and embellishments and hand painting. For the fall, the colour of the year was a very vibrant violet, so I think we are going to see a lot of purples and burgundies, as we usually do for fall. Also last fall, which is still quite trending, is cut-outs.
