the quicker the better.\u003cbr/\u003e\"They both at the same time set out in a way to speed up painting. To speed up the idea of writing out what was inside on the outside. And that of course, if you look at it that way, it's a race where Pollock by any definition became number one,\" he says.\u003cbr/\u003eBut according to Kold there are also important differences between the artists - mostly to do with their ideals and approach to painting.\u003cbr/\u003eJorn was a dedicated Marxist and for a long time a member of the Danish communist party.\u003cbr/\u003ePollock did not share the same political leanings, according to Kold.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We do understand also from this exhibition that they are incredibly different, also. Primarily in their aims.  Art is a means towards society for Jorn. He is political. He is politicising in his painting as well. Pollock is focused in a different way on art as a separate world, a world apart from the social and political world,\" he says.\u003cbr/\u003eThe exhibition shows 135 paintings, drawings and prints by the two artists.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Pollock paintings have been lent by museums and collectors from around the world.\u003cbr/\u003eIt is clear who is the superstar at the exhibition; Pollock's star burns bright on the international art scene as one of the most famous artists of the last century.\u003cbr/\u003eBut according to Kold there has been a Jorn revival also:\"I sense that many people, artists and art historians, are really interested in Jorn now because he strikes a more post modern figure.But it is not going to relegate Pollock from being one of the 20th century masters.
