And that is an outcome in neither party's interests,\" US Senator Max Baucus said.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Democrat from Montana, a member of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, made the comment as part of a speech to a group of business executives in Beijing. \u003cbr/\u003eBaucus said he met earlier with Chinese Commerce Minister Bo Xilai and other officials and warned them of rising economic anxiety in the United States and support for protectionist measures.\u003cbr/\u003eHe didn't say what steps Beijing should take, but mentioned complaints by other US lawmakers about China's currency controls and it's failure to fully comply with market-opening commitments.\u003cbr/\u003eBaucus said the Chinese officials seemed receptive but did not make any specific commitments.\u003cbr/\u003eChina's trade surplus with the United States in 2005 was forecast to top 200 billion dollars (euro160 billion), up nearly 25 percent from the surplus in 2004, which was the
