Man on stool  \u003cbr/\u003eRussia's leading stock exchanges suspended trading for a second time in several hours on Friday after stocks rose too sharply.\u003cbr/\u003eEarlier on Friday, trading was suspended on both the RTS and the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICEX) indexes within an hour of opening, in line with exchange rules. \u003cbr/\u003eThey reopened after an hour only to close again.\u003cbr/\u003eMICEX, where most share trading takes place, is up 25.4 percent since the start of Friday following a two-day suspension. \u003cbr/\u003eThe RTS is up 20.2 percent.\u003cbr/\u003eSpeaking after the MICEX suspended trading for the first time, its director Alexei Rybnikov said a 15 percent rise in the index \"led to an automatic suspension of trading until an order by the federal securities market regulator.\"\u003cbr/\u003eRybnikov added, however, that he thought the worst phase of the crisis \"has already passed.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"We think that trust in the financial system is rebuilding again and we can see that judged by today's growth in the market,\" he added.\u003cbr/\u003eThe RTS said it would resume trading at 1455 local time (1055 GMT).\u003cbr/\u003eBoth indexes were closed on Wednesday after the MICEX suffered one-day losses on a scale not seen since Russia's 1998 financial collapse. \u003cbr/\u003eIt plunged 25 percent in just two and a half days on the back of tumbling oil prices and Wall Street turmoil, and was down more than 55 percent since its May peak.\u003cbr/\u003eWhen the financial regulators suspended trading two days ago, many of Moscow's bars also saw a sharp drop in customer numbers. \u003cbr/\u003eOn Thursday at one bar in Moscow's financial district, appropriately called the Wall Street Bar, trade was quiet.\u003cbr/\u003eAnton Ivanov, who works at the Wall St Bar, said that its success was dependent on the state of the market.\u003cbr/\u003e\"If it goes up, then the traders come here to relax and spend money.
