Side view of Rumsfeld speaking\u003cbr/\u003eFamily members of prisoners held at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, by the US, continued their campaign on Tuesday to highlight the plight of their relatives.\u003cbr/\u003eA day after marching on the White House in Washington, DC, the family members from Britain, France and Germany joined the American Civil Liberties Union at a news conference.\u003cbr/\u003eThey continued to make their cases that no information was being released to the prisoners' families and that they were being held without due process.\u003cbr/\u003eConcerned that he has not heard from his son, Moazzam, Azmat Begg made the trip to the United States. \u003cbr/\u003eIn an emotional plea before television cameras Begg asked that if he can't take his son home to be reunited with his daughter, that he be at least be allowed to see him.\u003cbr/\u003eIn earlier letters, Moazzam Begg says he has never been told of the crime he allegedly committed.   \u003cbr/\u003eBegg came from Britain to pursue legal rights for his son.\u003cbr/\u003eExecutive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Anthony Romero says his group cannot determine the guilt or innocence of those being held in Guantanamo.  \u003cbr/\u003eWhat he says his group is fighting for is due process under law.\u003cbr/\u003eIn fact Romero urged the US government to \"throw the book\" at Moazzam Begg if it had a case, but he also says Moazzam must be given the right to rebut the facts and face his accusers.    \u003cbr/\u003ePleading for information about his older brother Nizar, 21 year old Aymane Sassi told reporters that his brother had travelled to Pakistan with a friend to learn Arabic. \u003cbr/\u003eNizar's family learned through reporters that he had been captured and taken to Guantanamo Bay in January 2002.  \u003cbr/\u003eAymane said letters from his brother stopped last September and the family is frantic to know how he is faring. \u003cbr/\u003eThe delegation of families was led by the Guantanamo Human Rights Commission, founded by actors Corin and Vanessa Redgrave.\u003cbr/\u003eThe group plans to hold a wide range of meetings with human right campaigners and religious leaders in Washington and New York.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Supreme Court will hear arguments next month from lawyers representing foreign \"enemy combatants\" who are being held incommunicado at the military prison. \u003cbr/\u003eMeanwhile, the Bush administration officials have said they have wide legal latitude to interrogate the prisoners for an extended period since national security is at risk. \u003cbr/\u003eDefence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Tuesday defended the US military's decision to hold the captives saying they posed risks on the battlefields of Afghanistan.\u003cbr/\u003eRumsfeld also told reporters that a terrorist suspect formerly held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, has reverted to terror.\u003cbr/\u003eRumsfeld said he didn't recall specifics about the suspect, and defence officials later said they were unsure if they could release any.\u003cbr/\u003eOf more than 600 people originally held at Guantanamo, 105 are no longer there.
