It was kind of this dive bar -- you know, brick walls, peeling paint, this, that and the other. But they had photos pasted up on the walls, just everywhere, just kind of randomly put up -- layers of them, just on top of one another, which obviously were patrons going back decades. And I thought, 'This is like amazing. You feel so much energy in this room. The layers of the decades of the people that have been in this room, sitting in this very spot -- 10s or 20s years ago, more so.  This idea is unbelievable.' So I called Cheryl (ball producer Cecchetto). And I said, 'I think I have what I want to do. I know what I want to do.'\"\u003cbr/\u003eFortunately, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which hosts the annual Oscars, is caretaker of the Margaret Herrick Library, which houses thousands of elements related to cinema, and is world-renowned for its photographs. For the exhibit, hundreds of the library's images were duplicated -- some blown up to billboard size, other framed as keepsakes for ball guests.\u003cbr/\u003e\"So, you're not only going to see photos of actors and actresses, but of costume designers, animation, editors, sound, directors, producers, everyone,\" Cecchetto said. \"And isn't it apropos that we're featuring the library with the archives of cinema, which follows the telecast? I mean, it completely makes sense. And for those who are in the room, they're celebrating film. So, we're doing that with them.\"\u003cbr/\u003eMaster chef Wolfgang Puck returns to serve hungry guests -- this time a lot of little things.\u003cbr/\u003e\"We're going to have tapas, more Spanish style -- not in flavor,\" he said. \"You know, it's more small plates. It's very famous all over the world today. People don't want to eat one big plate anymore. They love the variety. And we make 32 different dishes this year for the Oscars. About 500 of each one. About 16,000 dishes. So, it's a lot -- from traditional dishes, like our chicken pot pie, macaroni and cheese, and then we have some exciting Santa Barbara prawns Thai-style with a little spice in it. Tell them to shut up over there! And then we have a lot of vegan dishes.
