at Srebrenica than the 8,000 previously reported. \u003cbr/\u003eThe government paper which also disputes findings that most of the victims were civilians is denounced by the top international official in Bosnia as a \"callous and irresponsible\" attempt to rewrite Europe's worst massacre since  World War II.\u003cbr/\u003eResidents of Srebrenica reacted with anger and disbelief on Tuesday when the report was released. \u003cbr/\u003eThe report dismissed UN and other western estimates that up to nearly ten thousand men and boys were killed when Serb troops overran the United Nations protected area in eastern Bosnia.  \u003cbr/\u003eThe report said that roughly two thousand Muslim soldiers died, but mostly in fighting.\u003cbr/\u003eResidents had been expecting a satisfactory result and an opportunity to bury the remains of those killed.\u003cbr/\u003eThey say ten thousand seven hundred and one people perished.\u003cbr/\u003eThe town of Srebrenica surrendered to Ratko Mladic's troops on the 11th July 1995.\u003cbr/\u003eThe troops then moved to Potocari where similar accounts are heard. \u003cbr/\u003eBosnian forensics experts report to have exhumed 6,000 bodies believed to be victims of the massacre. \u003cbr/\u003eAbout 3,500 are to be found in a warehouse in Tuzla.\u003cbr/\u003eOthers are stored in old mines or remain in the mass
