was because of a problem in relaying communications from one of two Mars orbiters beaming commands from Earth.\u003cbr/\u003eFuk Li, the manager of the Mars exploration programme for NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, said that a \"transient event\" on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter turned its UHF (ultra high frequency) radio off. \u003cbr/\u003eThat stopped communications between it and the lander.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter team was \"trying to turn that UHF radio back on and hopefully everything will be back to normal,\" said Li.\u003cbr/\u003eDespite the problem, Li insisted \"Phoenix is healthy, everything is fine.\"\u003cbr/\u003ePeter Smith of the University of Arizona and the mission's principal researcher, said the plans called for manoeuvres on Tuesday to unhook the lander's 8-foot (2-metre) robotic arm from a latch holding it in place.\u003cbr/\u003eSmith said scientists were \"quite excited\" about exploring
