It is not terribly unusual activity, we have seen it quite a lot of times before. If it carries on like this for say another three or four hours, we would start to be more concerned because we know a lot of stuff is coming off the dome. It has been going for about an hour at the moment and it might well stop. But we just have to keep and eye on it.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Steve Sparkes, Chief government scientist\u003cbr/\u003eFor those who are left under the shadow of the mountain, life goes on, but the ash has clogged the air so badly that people are now forced to wear masks.\u003cbr/\u003eThe sun, once one of the island's main attractions is now blocked out by the heavy dust clouds.\u003cbr/\u003eThe islanders know that sooner or later the volcano will begin a full-scale eruption.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English) \u003cbr/\u003e\"We are very concerned that it is very dangerous, and having been relocated further north as we are, then obviously something very serious is going to happen in the very near future. It could be a week, it could be hours, days, or months.
