That happened at the moment the vessel was picking up her pilot to go, connect, to a single port mooring buoy to load an additional cargo . She was partly laden with a cargo coming from Saudi Arabia. Then later we hear that 12 crew members were in fact standing by to connect that ship to the buoy, may have jumped overboard because they were cut off from the castle of the ship. They couldn't go back and see if there were tugboats present . They jumped overboard, they were picked up by these tugboats. Then later we got the Captain on the telephone telling that he  was trying to  get a fire under control but he failed to do so since his crew was reduced nearly by 50 percent and by 12 o'clock their time he had to abandon the ship and was in fact, went ashore. Then later we hear that in fact one crew member was missing. Now the only thing we really know what may have caused the incident is one of the junior officers saw the boat, a small craft, approach our ship with relatively high speed. He thought it may have collided with our ship, but our Limburg is a big ship, they didn't feel anything, but shortly afterwards there was an explosion.\"\u003cbr/\u003e3. It is contained to the tank where the explosion actually occurred, which is tank four starboard. It is contained to that . There is no electrical wiring in the ship, in the tank which assumedly exploded,  so we see no reason why  an explosion would occur in that tank.  So the only thing we can think about is the similarity of the American warship Cole, but obviously that will be obvious when the fire is out, when the smoke has disappeared, it will be very obvious if it's an inside explosion or an outside explosion , but we do not see any reason why there could be an inside explosion with a new ship.\"\u003cbr/\u003e7. A few hours later around noon local time the captain tried to extinguish the fire, but had to leave the boat. Various of USS Cole in Aden harbour after explosion with white cover over hole in side of ship\u003cbr/\u003eThe management company of the Limburg tanker that is currently on fire off the coast of Yemen is comparing the cause of the explosion with the terrorist attack on the USS Cole almost two years ago.\u003cbr/\u003eThe tanker was carrying 25 crew members, including eight French and 17 Bulgarians. One Bulgarian crew member has been missing since the explosion. The rest of the crew are in a hotel in Yemen.\u003cbr/\u003eFrance Ship Management spokesman Peter Raes said that he had spoken with the captain of the Limburg on the latest situation aboard the ship and also speculated on possible causes for the explosion onboard. \u003cbr/\u003eRaes said that one officer reportedly saw a small boat approaching the ship at high speed prior to the explosion. \u003cbr/\u003eHe said that there was no electrical power located near the area where the explosion took place, seemingly discounting earlier reports that an electrical fire caused the explosion. \u003cbr/\u003eRaes said the situation is similar to the terrorist attack on the warship the USS Cole during a refuelling stop in Aden in Yemen. In that attack, 17 crew were killed, and Osama bin Laden later claimed the attack was staged by his al-Qaida group.\u003cbr/\u003eHowever, Raes said that Yemeni authorities were downplaying the terrorist angle. \u003cbr/\u003eYemen has been eager to emphasise its commitment to the US-led war on terror and shake off its reputation as a hotbed of extremism.  \u003cbr/\u003eIt is believed to
