in Mexico City and Madrid, Spain.\u003cbr/\u003eThe court's spokesman, Jose Neri da Silveira, said the judges rejected those arguments after six hours deliberation on Thursday.\u003cbr/\u003eThe court spokesman places the first vote in the case and is usually followed by the other jurors.\u003cbr/\u003eMexico \"has the authority and competence to decide where to try those accused of the crimes,\" Silveira said.\u003cbr/\u003eNeri da Silveira used to attend a seminary and is renowned for his high moral standards.\u003cbr/\u003eFew were surprised when the court voted in favour of the extradition.\u003cbr/\u003eLast week, Trevi said she faced almost certain death if she was extradited to Mexico. \u003cbr/\u003eProminent businessmen and politicians in Chihuahua would want her silenced before she revealed several cases of corruption, she said. \u003cbr/\u003eShe did not elaborate.\u003cbr/\u003eIn a press conference on Tuesday with tears welling in her eyes, Trevi said: \"I swear to God that I never committed any crime.\"\u003cbr/\u003eTrevi rose to fame in the late 1980s with a sexually flamboyant, politically rebellious image. \u003cbr/\u003eShe spoke of someday running for president, and released a series of nude calendars that poked fun at Mexican politics.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (Spanish)\u003cbr/\u003e\"I am going to explain to you that now the Supreme Court is going to prepare the decision, the resolution an publish it.
