Its engine has been perfected as well as the radar and the electronic devices that are installed on board.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe plane and its design are shrouded in secrecy and much of the information about the new aircraft is classified.\u003cbr/\u003eIn order to hide it from the public eye, when the supersonic T-50 landed it was hastily put under wraps by the Russian army and towed it to the safety of an aircraft hangar. \u003cbr/\u003eIt is believed that composite materials rather than traditional metals were extensively used in building the new generation of Russian fighter jet. \u003cbr/\u003eComposit is a company which supplies raw materials for the production of composite materials.\u003cbr/\u003eSpokesperson from the company, Elina Bilievskaya, says composite materials are used in place of metals and are much more durable.\u003cbr/\u003e\"It''s a composite material that replaces the traditional material for construction such as metals like steel. This aircraft has got a refuelling capability and it can reach any distance, and from there the missile can be launched.\"\u003cbr/\u003eThe missile is thought to be the fastest in the world and can travel at a speed of between Mach 2.8-3.0.\u003cbr/\u003eSatellite navigation systems are one of Russia''s innovation priorities.\u003cbr/\u003eNavis Navigations produce satellite navigation systems used at sea and in the air. \u003cbr/\u003eAn engineer from Navis Navigations, Oleg Mulatov, says Russia has learnt lessons from the recent conflicts they have been involved in, such as those in Caucasus, and are hoping to reduce their use of the Global Positioning System or GPS, a U.S. System.\u003cbr/\u003e\"In the West they use their own GPS system, and in periods of conflicts, such as for instance in Chechnya or in Georgia, they just turn it off.
