The record, titled \"�3mm,\" refers to 3 married men - Chan himself, and the two producers of the album.  \u003cbr/\u003e\"...3mm\" is a homage to the '80s, in particular, to veteran Canto-pop star Alan Tam. Chan along with the producers of the new album grew up listening to Alan Tam's music, so it seemed fitting that they produce an album that pays tribute to him. Singles from the new album may be sound eerily similar to hits of the '80s, but they tackle serious topics. \u003cbr/\u003e\"This album touches upon subjects that money can't buy, like courage, trust, kindness, humor, recovery, peace and what else� life!  The last song is 'The end'  These are more serious subjects of life,\" Chan explained.\u003cbr/\u003eExplaining what it's like to produce the album under his own company, Chan said that while he has the freedom to create the kind of music he likes, he has a lot more responsibilities overall.\u003cbr/\u003e\"Everyone will come and ask my opinion about something. I'm a very indecisive person. However, as a person in charge of a company, there are a lot to be considered,\" he said.\u003cbr/\u003eChan just returned from London where he cheered on the Chinese Olympic team from the sidelines. A photo of Chan with Chinese Olympian Lin Dan circulated around the internet. It caused quite a confusion because a lot of people mistakenly took Chan for Lin's mother. It was the curly short hair that Chan sported in the photo that caused the confusion. Chan now has a new nick name, \"Dan's mom.\"\u003cbr/\u003e\"I didn't bring my own hair and make up person. My hair is a mess. I think it's funny. I finally had an opportunity to take a photo with him (Lin Dan),\" he jokingly added \"I will work out more but (Lin's mother) has more hair than me.\"\u003cbr/\u003eChan performed a single from his new album at the party.
