So we had to figure out a way to get Cambodian community involved to help better the neighborhood at the same time provide some sort of income and also at the same time allow people to use their skills.\"      \u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Sothea Chiemruom, Cambodian Community Activist\u003cbr/\u003eThat need became this, a few acres of land in nearby New Hampshire, donated to the Cambodian community by local farmers. \u003cbr/\u003eOn this land, the former farmers can keep alive the skills they developed back home.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Cambodian farmers grow vegetables native to South East Asia, then sell them at market for a small profit.\u003cbr/\u003eBut there were some difficulties to overcome.\u003cbr/\u003eThere's a big difference between farming in New England and farming in Cambodia.\u003cbr/\u003eThe weather is different. The climate is different. And also, you know, different insects, the bugs, that you don't maybe not find there but find here.
