\u003cbr/\u003e''Nazareth Village'', on the outskirts of the town where Jesus is thought to have actually grown up, offers a glimpse into another era. \u003cbr/\u003eJesus Christ is said to have spent most of his life in the town of Nazareth. \u003cbr/\u003eNow residents of the town have re-created the era of Jesus in an ancient site on the outskirts of the town. \u003cbr/\u003e\"Nazareth Village\" is based on scientific and archaeological sources. \u003cbr/\u003eThe Bible''s descriptions of Nazareth at the time of Jesus were also a point of reference for the volunteers involved in the project. \u003cbr/\u003eExcavations in the region showed that Nazareth would have been a small village of anywhere from 500-1200 people. \u003cbr/\u003eDr. Nakhli Bishara, the Nazareth Village Museum Founder, says the foundations of the terraces here date from the early Roman period. \u003cbr/\u003eJesus of Nazareth, was said to be a carpenter by trade. \u003cbr/\u003eCarpenters of the era were more builders or construction engineers than artisans. \u003cbr/\u003eBut they would have also built essential tools for daily life such as carts, threshing tools for wheat, furniture ploughs, yokes and pitchforks. \u003cbr/\u003eDr. Bishara says the village gives a sense of life in the times of Jesus. \u003cbr/\u003eA typical morning in the first century BC may have begun with the baking of bread. \u003cbr/\u003eJesus is said to have shared unleavened bread with his disciples during the ''Last Supper''. \u003cbr/\u003eDuring Easter, volunteers from all over the world travel to ''Nazareth Village'' to re-enact the last days of Jesus'' life. \u003cbr/\u003eThis celebration of the ''Passion of Christ'' follows the path of Jesus to his crucifixion. \u003cbr/\u003eKevin Ressler, who is portraying the role of Jesus this year, says that it gave him an unique insight to the suffering of Jesus. \u003cbr/\u003e\"Nazareth Villlage\" offers a glimpse of life at the time of Christ and
