This is the latest in a series of health crises for the 67-year-old...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eRussian/Nat \u003cbr/\u003eRussian President Boris Yeltsin is back in hospital with pneumonia, but was apparently well enough to receive a visit from Chinese President Jiang Zemin. \u003cbr/\u003eThis is the latest in a series of health crises for the 67-year-old Russian president.\u003cbr/\u003eOpposition leaders are again questioning Yeltsin's ability to govern Russia. \u003cbr/\u003eBut, during a meeting with those same opposition leaders, President Zemin said he had found Yeltsin to be in good health. \u003cbr/\u003eBoris Yeltsin is back at Moscow's prestigious Central Clinical Hospital. \u003cbr/\u003eThis time Kremlin officials say pneumonia has attacked the Russian leader and led to his admission to the hospital on Sunday.\u003cbr/\u003eYeltsin had been staying at his country home outside Moscow in recent weeks after falling ill in October with respiratory problems. \u003cbr/\u003eThe president's doctors said this time he was suffering from high blood pressure and exhaustion.\u003cbr/\u003eHe was due to meet with visiting Chinese head of state Jiang Zemin at his country residence. \u003cbr/\u003eBut instead the Chinese visitor made his way to the hospital to see the ailing leader. \u003cbr/\u003eIt was a sign Yeltsin's condition was not critical. \u003cbr/\u003eThe two leaders joked and chatted informally. \u003cbr/\u003eYeltsin, casually dressed in a sweater, did not look particularly ill.\u003cbr/\u003eAnd the Chinese visit was not the only state visit taking place in Moscow on Monday. \u003cbr/\u003eSouth African Vice President Thabo Mbeki was in town for talks with Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov on improving ties and expanding relations between their two countries. \u003cbr/\u003ePrimakov, who was previously foreign minister, looked very much at ease in this diplomatic role. \u003cbr/\u003eThis will no doubt provide observers with good reason to think he is the one really in control of Russia, at least for the moment. \u003cbr/\u003eThe South African vice president also met parliamentary speaker Gennady Seleznyov. \u003cbr/\u003eThe high-profile communist Seleznyov's comments were unusually innocuous about Yeltsin, as he said it was a shame Yeltsin had taken ill during the Chinese state visit. \u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (Russian) \u003cbr/\u003e\"It's bad if again if it (the meeting between Yeltsin and Zemin) will be postponed again.
