I think that the few hundreds who have come forward so far are not even the tip of the iceberg, because I am on the phone for up to ten hours a day with victims who keep coming to me. I keep telling them: ''you have to address someone else, I can''t help you, I am not a psychotherapist. Close up of photograph of Fluch\u003cbr/\u003eAn Austrian man who says he was abused by a priest in the 1970s said on Friday the recent cases of clerical sexual abuse reported in Austria are \"not even the tip of the iceberg\", as the Vatican remains engulfed in its worst crisis in years, with a number of other cases having emerged that indicate the Catholic Church''s hierarchy did not take action when notified of abuse.\u003cbr/\u003eKlaus Fluch says a local priest sexually abused him for five years between the ages of 10 and 15 while he was a student at the Christian school in St. Gallen, central Austria.\u003cbr/\u003eThe priest was his Religious Education teacher and a family friend, Fluch says. \u003cbr/\u003e\"This priest was very important in our family, to my mother, and therefore I could not even imagine that whatever he was doing could be something evil. Much later, I realised what really had happened,\" he said. \u003cbr/\u003eFluch said he did not receive any support from the church when he reported the abuse many years later. \u003cbr/\u003eReports of new cases of clerical abuse have been cropping up almost daily in Austria, where the country''s top Catholic, Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, held a service for victims and acknowledged church guilt in the controversy this week.\u003cbr/\u003eBut Fluch criticised the Austrian Catholic church for \"repressing\" the truth about alleged cases of abuse in the past. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I find it ridiculous, the way all this is being handled by the church, but I didn''t expect anything different,\" he said. \u003cbr/\u003eFluch is member of an Austrian group of self-described victims and experts called the \"Platform Of Those Affected By Church Violence\", which has set up a new hot line for victims of abuse by clergy and church workers. \u003cbr/\u003eThe group says more than 150 people have called the group''s new hot line since it was set up on March 23, with about a third claiming they had been sexually abused and the rest reporting physical or verbal abuse.\u003cbr/\u003eFluch said the people \"who have come forward so far are not even the tip of the iceberg, because I am on the phone for up to ten hours a day with victims who keep coming to me.\"\u003cbr/\u003eHe said the people calling the hot line often turn down offers of professional help. \"They simply want to talk, and they talk to me,\" he said. \u003cbr/\u003eAbuse cases with the pontiff''s fingerprints, when he was then Cardinal Ratzinger and headed the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith, the Vatican office that typically handled cases of abuse in confessionals, have mushroomed in recent weeks. \u003cbr/\u003eFluch''s case is not one of these, but adds to the crisis the Catholic Church is facing in Austria and
