of his visit to tanzania, indicated monday (march 21st) that cuba would not play a direct military role against white minority governments in africa. \u003cbr/\u003e before flying to mozambique, after a triumphant five - day tour of tanzania, castro also denied that cuban troops were leading an invasion of southern zaire. he said that the uprising in the southern province of shaba was an internal problem for zaire, and that as far as he was aware angola was not involved either. \u003cbr/\u003e the government of zaire had indicated that a 5,000-man invading force was led by some of the cuban active role by these countries in the rhodesian issue, especially in view of the break-down of american and british initiatives at the beginning of this year. \u003cbr/\u003e and after the successful
