Various of Elton John \u003cbr/\u003ePrinces William and Harry on Tuesday announced two major events which will take place next year to commemorate and celebrate the life of their mother Diana, Princess of Wales.\u003cbr/\u003eOn 1st July 2007, The Princess's birthday, Prince William and Prince Harry will host a celebration concert at a newly completed Wembley Stadium.\u003cbr/\u003eThe two Princes have hand-picked a number of their mother's favourite artists to play at the event, entitled \"Concert for Diana,\" and have also added a few favourites of their own to the star studded bill.\u003cbr/\u003eArtists already confirmed for the concert include: Sir Elton John, Duran Duran, Bryan Ferry, Pharrell Williams, Joss Stone and Andrew Lloyd Webber, who will stage a medley of songs from some of his West End shows. \u003cbr/\u003eA number of other major acts will be announced over the coming months.\u003cbr/\u003ePrince William today described the thinking behind the event:\u003cbr/\u003e\"We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted.
