What struck you most about the space station.  Any surprises?\u003cbr/\u003eA:  It felt pretty much like I was coming home because I had been in the trainer there in Star City quite a few times, so I felt very comfortable coming in, and of course Yuri and Yuri were there and they welcomed us very very warmly, so it was sort of  like coming back home to see your friends and Yuri and Yuri have gone out of their way to make us feel very welcome and very comfortable in their home.\u003cbr/\u003eSUPERCAPTION: Shannon Lucid, Astronaut-Cosmonaut\u003cbr/\u003eThe U-S Shuttle Commander said he hoped a full-time mission could be established in space.\u003cbr/\u003eWe want to establish a permanent presence in space, and from a historical perspective you can look back on the discovery of America and the early colonisation of it, and we are kind of beginning the colonisation of space here.  We've been to and from just as the early explorers went to and from North America from Europe and finally they settled and started to do productive work over there, and started this great nation.  I kind of look at it in the same similar light where we've been coming to and from space and when we get here permanently, then we can start seeing the fruits of our labours.\u003cbr/\u003eSUPERCAPTION: Commander Kevin Chilton, Astronaut\u003cbr/\u003eShannon said she would be sad to say goodbye to the American crew.\u003cbr/\u003eQ:  In two days you are going to be left on your own for several months with the two Yuris.  I'm just wondering as undocking approaches now that the initial rush of excitement is over from getting there - that feeling of watching the shuttle depart, how you might  respond to that - or is all just business for you there?\u003cbr/\u003eA:  Of course I will feel bad to see 76 crew depart because I've really enjoyed working with them and being a part of that crew.
