Wide shot of Zoellick and Lamy\u003cbr/\u003eEuropean Union trade commissioner Pascal Lamy held talks on the genetically modified food with US Trade Representative Robert Zoellick on Wednesday. \u003cbr/\u003eGenetically modified products and foreign service corporations (FSCs) are two areas where the European Union and the United States have different views.\u003cbr/\u003eAfter their meeting, Zoellick told reporters they reiterated that some African countries were reluctant to use biotechnology because they feared European Union repercussions.\u003cbr/\u003eHe referred to Uganda, among other African nations, as one country that was reluctant to use biotechnology because it feared a negative backlash from European nations. \u003cbr/\u003eIn contrast, Lamy suggested that alleviating starvation in Africa should not be used as an argument in the debate on genetically modified food.\u003cbr/\u003eLamy also spoke about the EU-US debate on foreign service corporations (FSC).\u003cbr/\u003eLamy indicated that US president George W.
