She just released her first novel, 'L.A. Candy.' It's about a young woman in her early twenties who gets tapped to star in a reality show and goes from a private person to living in the public eye overnight. \u003cbr/\u003eShe says the idea for the book comes from her own life but the details are pure fiction.\u003cbr/\u003e\"All the things that happened in this book were made up. It's a fictional book.\"\u003cbr/\u003eConrad, 23, says the most challenging part of writing the book was meeting deadlines from her publisher because while she was working on it she was also still filming 'The Hills.'\u003cbr/\u003e\"It was...a lot of work and the deadlines can be a little stressful because it's kind of a forced creativity where you want to take your time and really devote all of yourself to this book and they're like, 'Yeah, but we're gonna need it in like a week.'\"\u003cbr/\u003eConrad has a contract with HarperCollins to write two more books. She's open to doing more and is also interested in turning them into a TV series that she would potentially produce.\u003cbr/\u003eShe's about to kick off a book tour across the U.S and looks forward to meeting fans. On the NBC show, Pratt is very passionate and vocal about being a devoted Christian, which is a side of her she hasn't expressed in front of the cameras on 'The Hills.'
