APTV have been to the village of Tungor where the...\u003c/span\u003e\n\u003cspan class='full-description hide'\u003eRussian/Eng/ Nat\u003cbr/\u003eOn the island of Sakhalin, thousands of people in the neighbouring villages to the ruined Neftegorsk have fled their homes in the aftermath of Sunday's earthquake.  \u003cbr/\u003eAPTV have been to the village of Tungor where the residents are helping the survivors but are fearful for their own safety. \u003cbr/\u003eThe pupils of this music school in Tungor have suddenly been joined by scores of others  the classrooms have become makeshift living quarters for the local residents who've found refuge here as wooden structures are deemed safe from further tremors.  \u003cbr/\u003eMost of the apartment blocks in Tungor were built in the 1960s from the same pre-fabricated concrete slabs as those flattened by the quake in Nefegorsk.  Two days ago the village council declared this type of structure to be unsafe.  Large numbers have fled their homes in fear.\u003cbr/\u003eSergey Yepifantsev is a local teacher who, together with his wife, have volunteered to run the music school as a  \"refuge\".
