It is the first luxury vehicle to pair a powerful V-8 engine with a hybrid system. \u003cbr/\u003eThe combination gives the 600h the power of a twelve-cylinder engine with the fuel efficiency of a smaller vehicle. \u003cbr/\u003eSome analysts have warned however that consumers may not embrace performance hybrids.\u003cbr/\u003eMercedes-Benz is taking a different approach altogether.\u003cbr/\u003eThey are focusing on better fuel economy and performance from a new diesel technology.\u003cbr/\u003eMercedes is promoting DaimlerChrysler''s Bluetec diesel technology, which
