The system was fixed Tuesday.\u003cbr/\u003eAfter a 4½-day trip to the moon, Prospector will slip into a 60-mile-high orbit and search for evidence of frozen water as well as minerals and gases.\u003cbr/\u003eThe spacecraft's scientific instruments include a neutron spectrometer that will look for excess hydrogen, an indication of water.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (English)   \u003cbr/\u003e\"Well Lunar Prospector is going to do global mapping of the composition of the moon, it's magnetic fields etcetera. The Apollo missions tended to stay in orbit around the equator of the moon. When they landed they got a lot of information about the local sights but we don't have a very good global picture of the moon. So we're going to get a global picture of the moon; we're going to learn about the moon's resources; we're going to learn whether there's polar ice trapped at the poles of the moon . We're going to learn whether the moon might be geologically active.
