It takes a certain person, a certain character to be able to do this -  the police are the heirs of our war heroes.\"\u003cbr/\u003eSUPER CAPTION: Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Leader Liberal Democratic Party\u003cbr/\u003eRussia's Interior Ministry presented Zhirinovsky with a ceremonial sword to mark his   birthday as well as to thank him for raising the profile of the police force.\u003cbr/\u003eThe Russian police are low-paid and ill-equipped to deal with the high crime rate in the  country.\u003cbr/\u003eZhirinovsky's movie features an unlikely cast of past and present figures such as   Vladimir Lenin, Adolf Hitler and Margaret Thatcher. \u003cbr/\u003eThe plot involves fights, murders and other mishaps as Inspector Vladimir Zharov,  played by Zhirinovsky, is brought in to investigate.\u003cbr/\u003eThe movie was filmed on location in Moscow last year.\u003cbr/\u003eThe flamboyant Zhirinovsky obviously relished the chance to show off his acting  capabilities and realise a lifelong ambition. \u003cbr/\u003eZhirinovsky claims he always wanted to be a policeman and an actor but never made it  into the right institutes to pursue his passion. \u003cbr/\u003eHe is convinced the film will be a success.\u003cbr/\u003eSOUNDBITE: (Russian)\u003cbr/\u003e\"It's not only an interesting detective story on one hand but also the main thing is it is  linked to present-day politics.
