artist Sol LeWitt.\u003cbr/\u003eNow running in its eighth year, the summer exhibit has quickly become a popular destination for New Yorkers - the 10-thousand-square-foot, open-air roof garden offers spectacular views of Manhattan. \u003cbr/\u003eSol LeWitt is considered one of the key artists of the 1960s, responsible for an artistic movement called Conceptual Art, according to the show's curator Nan Rosenthal. \u003cbr/\u003eHalfway between Conceptualism and Minimalism, Sol LeWitt's work has evolved from black and white cube structures to undulating waves and bold colours.\u003cbr/\u003eAt the Metropolitan's Roof Garden, LeWitt will show four painted fibreglass sculptures titled \"Splotches\" and a unique wall-drawing called \"Whirls and Twirls\". \u003cbr/\u003eAssistants of the
