settlement with her fourth husband, architect Peter Cook.\u003cbr/\u003eThe deal gives Brinkley custody of the couple's two children - ten year old Sailor, and 13 year old, Jack.\u003cbr/\u003eBefore a mass of reporters, Brinkley described the ordeal as \"bittersweet\".\u003cbr/\u003e\"It really is the death of a marriage,\" she said. \u003cbr/\u003eThe former model explained her dismay at the thought of loosing her children. \u003cbr/\u003e\"I think a mother's greatest fear is somebody trying to take her children, trying to take custody of her children and that's what I was up against and salacious allegations about Cook's affair with Diana Bianchi, who was 18 at the time, as well as interactive Internet sex liaisons that cost him thousands of dollars a month.\u003cbr/\u003eCook, 49, testified he gave Bianchi a 300-thousand US dollar payoff after having trysts with her in his office and Brinkley's Hamptons homes for several months in 2005.\u003cbr/\u003eThe former Sports Illustrated model said she was devastated to learn of the affair from the teen's stepfather.\u003cbr/\u003eBrinkley also has a daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, 22, with rock 'n' roll Hall of Famer Billy
