We are very malinchistas. We are putting aside our traditions and customs  and we begin to criticise them,\" Reyes said.\u003cbr/\u003eThe holiday dates back to pre-Hispanic observances and to an Aztec festival in honour of Mictecacihuatl, the Queen of Mictlan (the underworld).\u003cbr/\u003eMictecacihuatl is believed to keep watch over the bones of the dead.\u003cbr/\u003eMictlantecuhtli, her husband, was the god of the dead and king of the Mictlan.\u003cbr/\u003e1.
